Harmless has talked to GG and so far the idea doesn't seem to have any hitches at the moment. I consulted a few others about bringing the idea up, and as it's been a month we've come to the decision to try and recreate the animechains forum. The current idea at the moment is to use the archive forum I sat up earlier this year as the new site and there are several things I can do:

• firstly, I've archived the FAQs so I should be able to restore the user ranks to the original set used on the old forum.
  
• All staff members of the old forum will have their positions restored, Nevyn and GG would be reappointed as administrators, and all mods who retained a staff position up to the point the site closed will retain their original moderator positions if they so choose.
  
• I can ask someone on one of the support forums to see if we can get a customised skin.
  
• The current archive forum would retain a section with a number of old threads so that they can be discussed or continued.
  
• joinable groups established prior to the closing of the forum will be restored
  

The archive forum would be closed for a few days whilst I set up all of the permissions, forums, staff positions and skinning. I'll need about 4 days (conservatively) to set up the forums and make it ready for use, although I can possibly finish it sooner, depending on how much headway I can get.

For those who are here if you have any suggestions for the new forum please let me know ASAP.
The site name can remain AnimeChains, the name of the forum itself will not be a problem, the only change will be the forum URL, which I'll be changing to match as closely to the forum name as possible. For now the URL will use the zetaboards name in it (http://s1.zetaboards.com/*forum name*/index.php

Any member who was a moderator at the time the forum went out, and would like the position back, please make sure you have an account and send me a message. We'll figure out the forums distribution for staff as we get things set up.

My hope is to be able to start working on the forum today, however I'll start slowly until we have a consensus as to the opinions of people here.

Again, if you have ideas, suggestions, feedback, anything to ask or comment on, please feel free to fire away, The skin, banner, and others are on the table for suggestions, like should we go with a classic AC look? or use a different skin? banners, ect... suggestions are welcome

whoa..... im excited just as n e one is to get AC back but dude...... talk about hella confusing!
i mean seriously i was lost in that all the fricken links and different places. if i may make a suggestion make it a little less confusing. i think part of the reasons y we loves AC so much is cause it was a koul place to hang and it was user friendly. dont get me wrong im stoaked that well get our AC back. but it still needs some help. and like this place....... this place was user friendly.... u could get around easily! but just saying u dont have too listen. u wanted an opion and well theres mine.

yes i mean navigation wise tis confusing and not user friendly. i am happy that everyone ish trying so hard to get AC back but AC was AC nothing can replace the old AC. so that being said. when we get AC back up is this forum going to be gone? i hope not. ive grown on this forum. but thank u for listening to me and answering ym questions.

That is my only concern with a new AC being added. I never thought it would replace AC or vice versa, so to most memebers here also...

I am sure this goes without saying but I think people who reregister, should use their old AC names...-shrug- It'd be easier but they don't have to of course.

hmmm to answer a few questions.
This forum will not be locked or shut down...but I will be active at the new AC, if I'm around, there is a high possibility I may not be...but if a few of the Baby Human members still want to post here go head, your welcomed to.^^ Yet like I said I'm not sure if I'll be around. :) hope that clears things up.

I like how the old AC looks, it be nice to have that again.

Anybody who had a staff position on the old forum and wants to have that restored can proceed with contacting me so that I can pre-register them. If you already made an account, them please let me know either through here or on the new site. I need to know what forums you originally had (if you remember), or any changes to the lineup that you want. The google page caches aren't providing the information I need for this.
