Gothica Apartments RPG

There is a tale of an apartment building that is not normal. It hasn't been seen by mortal eyes and probably never will. Even those few humans that enter have never left...ALIVE! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!
This is a place of pure darkness. This is the Gothica Apartments...

Story

This apartment building is a haven for vampires. They live here, sleep here, and even FEED here. Mwahahahahah! It has been set aside as a place where vampires may have a respite from the humans.

Rules

1. Humans may not enter the building unless accompanied by a vampire. To humans the Gothica Apartment building looks like a regular apartment building but there are safeguards to ward off humans from trying to enter and a spell is in place that causes humans that try to enter to become scared and walk away from the building.
2. The building is set up with vampires living in apartments with a superintendant.
3. Romance is encouraged, as are love triangles and same-sex relationships but if you want to cyber then take it to PMs.
4. The RPG is set in 2008 so all the modern conviences such as electricity, plumbing, running water, technology, etc. are available.
5. Be creative when making your character.
6. Please have at least 3 sentences per post.

Bio: Jack was born in Ireland in 1902 but he looks like he's 21. He was born to a lower class family who was brutally murdered when Jack was just 5 years old. He is a loner but wants to find somebody to spend time with. He has a short fuse but is very affectionate. He speaks fluent Gaelic and has an Irish accent.

Bio: Azariel lives a normal life with his mother. He has no siblings and the whereabouts about his father is unknown, or atleast, to him. He was born in Paris but they moved away from there soon after he reached the age of 4. Azariel has always been the calm and harmonic type. He doesnt really have friends, he spends most of his time writing or reading fantasy when it is recess. When he gets home he just plays games after doing his homework, so Azariel leads a some what normal teen life.

bio: once his sister Teyaka got raped her swore vengeance over the group of gangsters. He went to their hiding place and murdered their leader but got shot on the leg while almost getting killed. A scar was left there...so when they moved he promised his sister a peaceful life she always dreamed of.

Bio: He was born in Australia, moved to America hidden on a cargo ship when he was 4. He's a total bad ass who knows right from wrong he escaped from a laboratory that his father was the head dog off and escaped to America. It is rumored that Ricky is a cold blooded murderer and he has several warrants for his head. But this doesn't stop him from living a decent life alone.

OOC: I think we can start now! Moira will be in red and Jack will be in blue ok?

IC: Moira looked at the clock for the third time in an hour and sighed. She couldn't get to sleep and she knew that the sun would kill her if she went outside the apartment. Moira was really bored and longed for some excitement. She jumped out of bed, put on some khakis and a t-shirt and went for a stroll in the halls. She happened to bump into Jack McCoy, another new resident. "Oh excuse me. I'm kinda new here and I'm sorry for bumping into you." Moira said.

"Oh that's no problem at all. I was just about to spend some time in the bar in the basement. Did you want to join me?" Moira nodded and Jack held out his arm. "It would be an honour to escort you miss!" Moira giggled and took his arm as the two of them set out down to the basement to see what was going on.

Azariel sat on his bed and watched tv. There wasn't much to watch but Azariel had always wanted to know more and more about how humans live, so he chose to watch human cooking programs.

Sometimes I wish I was human...I want to see the daylight outside with my own eyes...

Azariel sighed and turned of the tv. He put on some socks and a shirt. He then took off his sleep-in-shorts and put on pants. He then walked out of his room and saw his mother playing cards with a friend of hers

Oh hi sweetheart whats up?

Azariel sat down on the sofa next to her and yawned

I am...bored

Ricky hopped off his motorcycle ans flung his bag over his shoulder. "Heh time to see if this apartment building is as good as they say." He walked up to the doors, opened the first one and looked around inside. "Well where is everyone? its pretty dead in here....." He stepped all the way inside.

Azariel tood up and smiled

Sure i'll come. There is a resturant here? I..didn't know that...

Azariel walked over to the and offered a handshake

Azariel blushed and looked away

Oh sorry..I didn't bring any money...

Azariel searched his pockets after some money but couldn't find anything. He sighed and looked down

Ricky walked all the way inside the building and looked around more throughly. "Hey finally some people." He walked over to Azariel Moira and Jack. "Hey guys you know where to get some grub around here? Cause I'm new and don't a thing about this place."

Well uh...here

Azariel scratched the back of his head and looked around

This place is the resturant

Ricky smacked his own face, "Aack don't tell me we have to wait til dark to eat here?" Ricky uncovered his face and bowed quickly, "oh I'm so sorry I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Ricky and I just came to this town because I heard that this is a vampire haven and I need to get my life back in shape." He stayed down in a bow waiting for some kind of answer.

Azariel looked downa nd blushed again. He then slowly looked up and a slight smile crossed his face

I'll have the spaghetti...

Azariel reached out his hand and offered a handshake to Ricky

I am Azariel, nice to meet you Ricky

Ricky put his bag by his legs and stretched, "Heh let's see, I haven't eaten for like forever so anything sounds good." He smiled at the 3 of them, then extended his arm to Azariel "nice to meet ya Azariel, I think I'm gonna really like it here. Now shall we see we go eat?" He laughed a bit. "Sorry like i said I haven't eaten for some time so I guess my stomache is trying to take over." He cletched his stomache as it growled deeply.

Azariel laughed and looked at Ricky

Well we are all hungry, sit down here with uss to begin with don'tn you think? heh

Ricky sat by Azariel "Yeah your right, I should chill a bit." He smiled across the table at Moira and Jack and sat intently waiting for a story about Azariel.

Azariel looked at them all then looked down

Uh..well...I am 16, I live with my mom. I like palyinf vidio games...I live a normal life I guess. The only thing I really want to find out is if I have a dad...and if I do I want to know where he is..

Ricky's smile went away and he shut his eyes, "Well that's nice for you but I never want to see my father ever again." He made a fist wih his shaking right hand and laid it on the table. "Oh I'm sorry I interrupted your story, please continue." He undid his fist like all the anger inside him was lifted.

Oh I was done...hehe...do you want to hear more? There isn't much to tell you since nothing much has happened to me

He looked at the clock then looked back at his Pasta

Ricky started shoving food in his mouth like a dog ravaging in the garbage. He looked up at Azariel and grabbed his fork like he was and ate slower and less monstrous. "So um yeah sure I'll here more." He wiped his face off with his leather jacket's sleeve.

Azariel ate slowly then looked at Ricky

Uhm as I said there isn't much to say...I was born in paris and I lived there for 4 years untill we moved here. I have never really had any friends...up untill...now..

A slight smile crossed Azariel's face

I have...she always just looks down with a sad look then smiles at me and pats me on the head...following up with a kiss on the forehead...I know she knows something but she doesn't want me to know. I think it is maybe for the best. My dad might have been some evil dude...

He sighed and ate more of his pasta

At home we have a sword that is in a glass box, desplayed. On the edge the words "My dearly beloved Angela, thy protection shalt be at the edge of this blade..." are engraved. My moms name is Angela...I guess that blade was dads but...why would he have a sword...?

Ricky grunted, "Perhaps your dad was a vampire hunter? That would explain the sword and why your mother doesn't like to speak about him around you." He slurped another big bite of pasta and looked up at Azariel.

Azariel took another bite of his pasta then nodded. He swallowed and looked up at a picture upp on the wall. It was a wilderness full of white flowers and it was night time.

That may be correct...maybe forgetting about him is the best protection i can get...even though I will hate it

"Maybe you were never meant to know ya know? Some things were never meant to be and I guess you can't change that." Moira sighed and looked towards the ceiling. She wished that life wasn't so hard for each of them. It was difficult to be a vampire and keep that secret. The waiter came and put the bill on the table and Moira paid for it. "I guess it's getting close to dawn. I think we should get back to our places then don't you?"

Jack nodded and smiled. He could see the pain in Moira's eyes and he wanted to comfort her so much but he was scared that she would reject him. When they had all broken up and headed back to their apartments Jack caught up with Moira. "Hey Moira, can I ask you something?" She nodded and smiled. "I was wondering if I could show you something in my apartment?" Moira smiled and said yes and they headed up to Jack's apartment. There they looked at an old picture of a couple of kids. "That was me when I was just a boy. There was a girl that I was just mad about. She had a smile that could light up the whole world. Unfortunately I lost her when I was about 12. I never got to say goodbye to her." Jack's face was darkened with grief and tears started to fall on to the picture. Moira took his hand and looked closer at the picture. That was when she realized that was her with Jack as a young girl.

"Jack I have something to tell you. I'm that girl in the picture there. I was the one you fell in love with. I even have that necklace you gave me for my birthday." She took a gold necklace from underneath her shirt and showed it to him. He was in shock and was overcome with joy. She hugged him and they held hands. Then he slowly leaned in and kissed her.

"Oh Moira I've never been so happy but I guess you've got to get to bed don't you?" Jack smiled as the walked to the door. They kissed one final time and Moira stepped out the door.

Moira was on Cloud 9 when she got back to her apartment. She couldn't stop thinking about Jack and dreamed of him that night.

OOC: did you guys like how Jack and Moira were together when they were young? lol i thought it would be kinda sweet lol

Ricky gulped down his root beer and slammed the glass on the table, "Man that Jack and Moira got something don't they?" He snickered and wiped his face off revealing his fangs. "So yeah Azariel what else is fun around here?"

Yeah...uh well fun? I am as new as you are

He got up from the chair and walked over to a drink machine and got himself some cola

You never told me about you...

Moira and Jack were walking down the hall and saw Ricky and Azariel. "How are you guys doing?" Moira asked. She smiled as she spoke to the two of them.

"How was your night last night? We're sorry we didn't hang around with you guys. I wanted to show Moira something in my apartment and we got kinda caught up in the moment." Jack said only half-joking. "Are you busy? Maybe the four of us could go bowling or something?"

Ricky sighed deeply then looked over to where Azariel was, "My life's not that interesting really. If you still want to know I'll tell you just don't judge me....."

Ricky sighed, "Well I used to live on a horse farm in Australia with my mother. I loved it there no nosy neighbors that could judge me just me and my mom out on the range........when she suddenly got a bad case of TB. She was sick and i couldn't do anything to help her cause she didn't like me going into town in my.....condition." Ricky put his face in his hands and growled some. " Then that Bastard came....my father.....he told my mother that everything would be ok if I just went with him to one of his military laboratories to live with him for awhile. She told me to go and that she'd be ok. WELL GUESS WHAT SHE DIED!" Ricky slammed his fist down on the table then continued. " And after that my father got coustity of me and full guardianship. Then the tests started, it was like his mind was telling him that if my mother died he could test, prick and prod me all he wanted. It was a living nightmare there, I was like one of there failed explosions or nuclear bombs. Everyday I struggled not to kill myself and get my pathetic life over with. But then I got this crazy idea from this book "Gone with the wind" that they gave me to read in my cell. It was beautiful......I wanted a life out there too so I decided to break out of the military base one night. The iron bars were easy enough but those damn guards with tazers were hell in the condition I was in. It was easy enough getting out of the lab building but I needed revenge, for my mother, for all those vampires and humans killed to test my powers. So I visited my father's tent and found that he had a family one wife and 4 kids. That pissed me off so.....so....bad.....that...I....I....my..body took control of me and I killed them. THEM ALL!." Ricky dropped his face on the table and cried. "I couldn't control myself, it was like my body blacked out my brain and all my feelings and killed them off. Once I realized what I did to my own kin I fled the military base and snuck into town. Once there again I realized that I was now a criminal and that I didn't belong there anymore, so I hid inside a cargo hold on a ship going to America and started a new life here." He stammered then looked up at the 3 of them at the table. "So yeah that's my story." He wiped his tear struck face and sniveled some.

Azariel looked down with a sad look and closed his eyes

I am sorry...

After a couple of seconds he looked up at Ricky and smiled slightly

Well...now you have a family..right? At least...you have friends...

Azariel put his ahnd on Ricky's shoulder and smield once more

It is not the past that encurage uss to move on Ricky, it is the present, and in the current present you live in, you have friends and a family. Use the present you have right now, to create a bright future...


Azariel laughed slightly and removed his hand from Ricky's shoulder

After all, we are all the same here. We might not look the same, or have the same past but we do have the same present, all of uss. We can share it, and create a bright future, don't you agree?
