CSI: Miami RPG

This RPG takes place in the world of the series, CSI: Miami. It is an RPG that is played out between Genkai and I. I'm playing the role of the main character, Horatio Caine, and Genkai is a witness. If you are considering joining this RP, please pm her or me first, before posting a character profile. Since it doesn't necessarily need extra characters. Thank you.^^

( Okay so we were around the part where Jen and Horatio finished talking about her acting and CSI'ing...ing. Yes, and Jen decided to make Horatio some dinner to thank him for saving her life. Jen then had to go to the store again to pick up some more things if she was going to make him something to night. She and Horatio were just leaving her house. I'll just post. And seeing as this is all we have at the moment, we can maybe make the longer. I don't know. lol.)

Jennifer Lyds had just picked up her purse and glanced back to the CSI in the niffy clothing he could always be found in. Jen's light brown eyes and matching wavy hair contrasted her light yellow sweatshirt (I forgot what season we're in so I'm having it be Fall. ) and faded blue jeans. Yes she was 38, only a year or so apart rom the Lt, though she insisted that he looked younger. "Shall we tak your Hummer then, it'll get us there much faster." She laughed a bit to him, her eye resting on Horatio casually.

Horiato smiled. "Whatever the lady wants, she shall get". He laughed. "My hummer it is then". He made one more quick kind smile at Jennifer, before turning to the door, and digging in his pockets for his keys at the same time. As he walked outside, some fall breeze went through his hair, and under his suit jacket. He glanced back at Jennifer, figuring her sweater probably kept her warm enough. He then opened the side passenger of the door first, and smiled back at Jennifer. "Ladies first".

( God I could just kill you Shishi. ^^ *in a good way* Hello luv! :) )

Jennifer bruished her lengthy hair back and smiled a bit, looking down in attempts to hide her smile, though she was sure it worked poorly. "...Um thank you." She said softly as she stepped outside and made sure he door was locked and then proceeded to get into his company Hummer. It seemed all CSI's in Miami Dade had them. Jennifer reached over and unlocked Horatio's side of the door to let him in. She smiled sideways to him. Meeting him made her start to miss the CSI bussiness. Only a little she told her self.

Horatio slightly smiled at Jennifer as he got into the driver's seat. He thanked her for unlocking his door, then quickly glanced into his side mirror, to make sure the coast was clear, as he pulled out of the parking space. For a while he didn't say anything, simply enjoying Jennifer's company in silence. He then glanced at her out the side of his eye, since he was driving. "So, did you have a hummer like this when you were a C.S.I dectective? It seems that every C.S.I dectective here has one". He said slightly laughing. He smiled to himself, he didn't think this morning that he be spending time with such an attractive woman as Jennifer was.

( How are ya darling? )

She shook her head at his question. "No. I had a motorcycle." She smiled. "They let me keep it, really sweet of them. But I don't really use it unless it's an emergancy." She told him. Jen and Horatio soon arrived at the supermarket and she got out. "So what would you like me to make you?" She asked, somehow smiling a lot more often around said CSI Lt.

(Uh.....right now irritated. Really, really irritated.......lol)


He smiled as he also stepped out of the hummer. "That depends Jennifer, what are you best at cooking?" He shut the door of the hummer, and began walking towards the supermarket with Jennifer. "I like Italian food, so any kind of pasta would be fine. But I'm not a picky eater, and am happily willing to eat anything you may want to cook".

( What happened??? *huggles* )

"Hmmm I can do pasta." She noted. "Though I'd prefer to start everything a day in advance so maybe I can make that for you another time. I can always make some pizza or something." She suggested, figuring making everything from scratch would be better then wasting more money on the frozen stuff. Jennifer and Horation arrived into said food store and she picked up a basket.

(It's not that big of a deal.......it's just that since this labtop is screwing up....I have to keep pasting "w"s......and now the "s" is screwing up.....and "s" happens to be used alot v_v lol *huggles back* ^_^)


Horatio nodded. "I didn't realize it took a day in advance for that". He chuckled a little. "Wait a minute, are you a chef too?" He joked. He glanced around the store quickly, but he had been there before several times, since it was also near his house. He removed his glasses, and put his hand quickly through his hair, while smiling at Jennifer. "If you tell me what you think you'll need, I'll start looking for the ingredients for your pizza".

( Ohhh I see. ^^; I'm sorry. )

She yawned slightly. "Well I should hope so, I do have a cake store in town," She laughed. "...We probabaly don't need a lot one thiing. She glanced aroiund. "I guess if you wanted for help you could get some tomatoes and whatever topping you'd link." She said slowly

(It's ok love, I'm getting kinda used to it^^ Kinda >_> xD)


"Oh great". He said, with eyes that seemed to sparkle all of a sudden. "Pepporonnis it is then". He turned to began to head in the direction he figured the pepporonis and tomatoes, would be in, but he then stopped and turned back to her with a smile that showed his teeth a little this time. "Don't worry, I'll be back. No need to panic". He said with a chuckle, then headed for the aisle which held homemade pizza ingredients.

( *hugs* Reminds me of Harmless' prob. I think its cute. ^^; But I'm prolly not helping my Prince...>.<' )

( Hehe, HorHor thinks she'll be worried without him ^^ )

She shook her head slowly. "I think I'm old enough to take care of my self in a supermarket, Lt." She gave a soft laugh and went to get anything else she needed, soon she was done and went to go find said Lt. She found him near th back. "Ready to go?" She asked with a small smile that couldn't leave her alone it seemed.

(lol, we do both use this laptop. xD Oh, and I'm sorry if it takes me a little while to reply sometimes in the next few days. I have company at my house, and we might have to keep leaving and crap. >_> lol )

Horatio looked up at her and smiled. He was carrying a bag of pepporinis, and a bag of shredded cheese. "You need this stuff for a homemade pizza right?" He said with grin. He walked over to her, holding both packages in one hand. "Now. as far as pizza sauce goes, we look for that in a can right? Or uh....." He looked at her basket. "Do you already have that?"

( Aww it's okay...I do miss you every second you're away and you know that. ^^; Did I PM you about my RPG idea? *has an empty mind* ._.' )

She nodded, "Yes. Thank you." Jen then paused, she was planning on making the sauce from scratch. "No, I can take care of the sauce." She held up her tomatoes. "Do you like cooking?" She asked teasingly, seeing as most people liked to do it the quickest way, not that she hated it. She was as glad as the next person to do little work for food, but she did want to make a good impression on Horatio with her cooking...for some reason. (^^)

(Yes^^ Though I didn't know about to right now. lol. And thank you so much, I always miss joo too meh dear.... ^_^)


A sudden hint of red hit his cheeks, as a result of slight embarrassment. "Uh..well.....with my job and all, I don't really find the time to cook up meals." He laughed. "I have a tendency to order, or eat out. You know with me being single and all, I live by myself, so....." His words trailed off a little, and cheeks seemed to get a little redder.

( Mmm. *hugs* I had a good day....heheh. I hope it stays that way. )

She laughed. "I know what you mean." She made her way to the cash register. "How about this? How about I make you a meal each week? That way you won't be so damn busy all the time. It's bad for your health to be a workaholic, you know." She suggested as she turned brifely to the man before paying for said items and starting for the tan Hummer.

(*hugs back* ^_^ It better stay that way! Or I might have to hurt somebody. lol)

Jennifer's last comment caught him off guard for a second, just from being surprised. He reached up and scratched his head a little. "Thanks Jennifer, I'd appreciate that". He laughed a little. "Your a great friend and a chef, boy am I lucky". Even though he said friend, he blushed a little, as if he had said something else. He then reached out for the bag that she was carrying. "I can carry that". He said with a gentleman smile.

( Good. *pouts and hands you sniping gun* XD )

She nodded a bit and glanced off, "Okay." Well it's not like she could turn down a smile like that. She got in the car and gave a small sigh to her self. 'Well duh, he only sees me as a friend. I mean I'm just an innocent victim here...nothing more. But still...hearing 'friend' from him...kinda hurt. But what do I care? I don't! It's not like we're close or anything and it's not like I care...because I don't!' She started to think to her self, mostly going around in circles, she kind of spaced out.

(lol ^^, Since I'm running around the house, I keep logging myself in and out, but I'll just keep myself logged in. Though I still gotta do things. xD Meh baka^^)


Horatio pulled out of the parking structure of the supermarket, and headed down the street back towards Jennifer's house. After a while, he noticed that Jennifer was really quiet, so he glanced up into the rear view mirror to see her face. She looked to be in deep thought about something. Without thinking, he reached out and grabbed her hand a little. "Are you ok Jennifer?" He asked, not realizing he was squeezing her hand a little.

( Ok. *looks at BH and wonders why her Prince is going on and off* I figured something was going on. lol *loves on*)

The ex-CSI jumpped a little and looked around, her eyes finally looking to Horatio. "Oh!" She then realzied she was being a bit quite. "Sorry about that..." She muttered and looked down sheepishly.

(lol, sorry about that <_<)


Horatio quickly laughed to ease any tension. "Oh, I was just a little concerned. You looked um...." Not knowing exactly what to say, his words ended there. He smiled at her. "Well, were back". He said, now seeing her house. He stopped the car in the same parking spot it was in about 20 minutes before, and grabbed the groceries. He then went over to her side of the car, and opened the door for her.

( s'ok. As long as you're safe. -hugs- )

Jennifer nodded a bit and nodded yet again, still unable to meet his crystal blue eyes. They were the nicest shade of blue she had ever seen, but the shades were nice as well. Horatio had a look no other person could pull off it seemed. She got out, mumbling thanks and walked up to her door, unlocked it and went inside, letting Horatio in as well. She then went into the kitchen and quiickly set everything up and put the pizza into the oven. She walked back out to the living room and sat on the couch, looking to the man, for the most part.

(*smiles and blushes* Meh is fine^^)


This time Horatio sat beside her, instead of across from her as he had before. He once again put his hand through his hair, as he searched for something to say. He had a feeling that Jennifer's mood had somehow dropped in the last several minutes, but he wasn't sure why. He leaned back a little, glancing up, but really wanting to look at her. "Sorry, when I have pizza usually, it's because I called up some pizzeria. How long do these kind of homemade pizzas usually take?"

( Woot ness luv. ;) )

Jennifer glanced up. "Oh, not that long." She laughed. "Though there's nothing wrong with take out, I'd get it any day." She stood up. "Cam I get you something to drink?" She was going to get something like hot cocoa to make, seeing as Winter was rapidly approaching, and she liked hot cocoa.

Horatio smiled. "Anything you having is fine. Thanks". He continued to smile, feeling happy that she was smiling as well. A thought crossed his head as to why he cared so much if she wasn't the happiest or not. Not that he was an uncaring person or anything, but he had speaken with and interviewed many witnesses. He couldn't remember caring as much as he did now. 'Do you really just see her as only a friend'. He thought to himself.

(Tee hee hee)

She quickly left the other to his thoughts. She started some milk in the microwave and leaned on the counter, still thinking. What he said had really stuck with her. She frowned and turned to get to mugs out of the cubard. She leaned in abit and slipped slightly as said mugs slipping off the top shelf. Then said mugs lands on the flood with a nice clean CLASH but not without cutting her hand first. She groaned, hanging her head. 'Great.' She thought and held her bleeding right hand with her non damaged left hand. ". . . ." She looked down at the thick broken glass. 'This is very embrassing now.' She thought. 'If only I wasn't so distracted...damnit.' That and her head was still hurting her from time to time from when she got shot and fell.

(*huggles and giggles* ^_^ xD)


Hearing the crash, Horatio quickly stood and went into the kitchen. There he saw Jennifer holding her bleeding hand, and the broken glasses on the floor. He mumbled something under his breath, out of concern, and walked over to her. He grabbed several paper towels, and wrapped it around her hand. "Are you ok?" He said, looking at her hand. He then turned the cold water on, so that she could rinse it off, and looked around the kitchen for a broom, to clean up the broken glass. He looked distraught, not liking to see Jennifer wounded.

( Harmless and I are fighting over you...*cry*)

She sighed still looking down, shaking slightly. "I'm fine really...stupid, but fine nonetheless..." She mumbled as she rinsed her hand off and took out a first aid kit and bandaged up her hand. Jen bit her lower lip, pretty much certain that she wasn't hurt anywhere else. But she indeed felt like an idiot. "You don't have to help...really, it's my fault...." Jen started. 'I had my mind on other...unimportant things...' She thought sadly to her self.

(Nani? I don't really think I'm worth fighting over......
*comforts, holds and kisses* I'm being told that I'm gonna have to get off the computer soon. *sighs* v_v )

"Everybody makes mistakes Jennifer. It's no big deal hun". He said still feeling a bit distraught and looking for the broom. He found it against a wall, with a dustpan underneath it. He quickly swept up the glass, making sure to get all of it. He then smiled at Jennifer, trying to reassure her. "It's really ok.....I'm just happy to see that your ok......really happy....." His words trailed off, and he realized that he may have put too much emotion into his words. Too much for a girl, who was suppose to only be his friend.

( Noooo. *cry* You'll be on tomorrow ne? Though I was glad you were on longer then usual. ^^; And of course you are worth fighting over. TO THE DEATH! *nods* )

Of course after that, words just failed her. She blushed and looked away, he was sweet, really. She only hated the fact that they were now deemed 'friends'. 'Oh well,' She thought. 'Friends is better then nothing....I guess.' She thought to her self and looked to Horatio. "Again, I'm sorry." She hated to make him worry. 'Great now he thinks I'm even weaker.' She frowned.

( Of course I will try my bestest to be^^ And thank you, you make me feel like I'm special in a way ^_^ Though I'm not >_> lol Bye bye dear.....)

Horatio walked over to her, and placed his hand on her shoulder gently. "Please stop apologizing Jennifer. You haven't done anything wrong." With that, his feelings began to take over his more rational thoughts. His eyes looked at her lips, and he reached out and removed some of her hair that was in her face. His urge to kiss her increased, but his rational thoughts told him that was probably very inapropiate. Still longing to connect with her in a way, he reached out and hugged her instead. Hoping that, that wasn't going to far, and that she would hug him back.......

(I hope I didn't go too far in that post. I just thought.....that....uh....yeah....xD)

( Dear lord you didn't! XD It's fine, it's fine hehe. -waddles away into a cornor- It's definetly fine. Don't worry hunny. ^^ Besides I'm sure they'll kiss...eventually. lol )

She blinked and felt his intense blue eyes staring at her, which in turn made said woman get slightly flustered. As Horatio brushed some hair out of her eyes, her breath nearly stopped. She has to remind her self that she an adult now and couldn't start swooning over the purest of actions. When he embraced her, she almost thought she was imagining it. She froze at the sudden contact but she soon relaxed and hugged him back, though a part of her whinned that it was only a hug. 'Friends don't kiss, sweetie, they hug!' Her inner self thought. Jennifer smiled, how could she not? She rested her head on his broad shoulder and closed her eyes, his scent was very inviting and he was also very warm. Very handy when it came to said colder nights and...woah woah woah. She blinked at her wandering thoughts and came back to reality. She knew she shouldn't get too comfortable and sighed softly, still content though, melting into his arms. Not that she'd admit it of course.

Horatio was lost in a way, halfway paranoid in the beginning that Jennifer wouldn't hug him back. That he was over stepping a boundary, and that Jennifer would put him in his place. He was a Lt., it was his job to think rationally. But for some reason, he had to keep reminding himself of that. Constantly wanting to forget all that, and run only on emotion, even if it got him into trouble.

He was so happy when Jennifer hugged him back. His grip on her tightening just a bit. As she lay her head on his shoulder, her hair fell close to his nose. The sweet, non overpowering smell, made his heart beat a little faster. He hoped that she wouldn't notice, but being happy at the moment, he didn't care that much, as he also gently rested his head on Jennifer a little.

( yey! )

Her mind spaced out completly as his overwheliming intensity took over. she smiled slightly, pushing away any doubts she had at the moment. Of course she used a cinnamon stawberry shampoo and lotion so she was glad she had. Not that...it mattered...

Jennifer stood there a bit longer, resting into his protective arms, though she had a nagging voice in the back of her head that would not shut up. 'He is just a friend. Just a friend! Snap out of it! It's only out of pity...you did cut your hand, remember?! Stop fantazing and get back to reality.' She thought to her self with a pout but her body refused to pull away, until Horatio would of course.

(Hehe^^ *dazes in and out*)



Horatio let one of his hands slip from her back. He began to move on instinct alone. The now free hand, went to the top of Jennifer's head. Again he smelled her hair, which seemed to smell even sweeter now. His hand began to go gently through her hair, which was very soft. A quiet sigh escaped his lips, a big part of him wanted to stay this way, but he knew that was impossible. A part of him almost pulled away from her, but he couldn't bring himself to do it completely. He went through so much crap on a daily basis, it seemed so unfair that he had to ended something so pleasant. I mean how often did this happened?

'You risk you life everyday as a Lt., and your to afraid to ask her? Why, just do it Caine. What's the worst that could happen?'

'She could turn you down.'

Horatio finally pulled away from Jennifer. He turned to the window, above the sink, and reached out and touched the floral curtains that hung in front of them. He was gonna bring himself to ask her, but he couldn't actually look at her as he did. "Jennifer.....um.....about as being friends.....I mean I do consider as friends......and I hope we always are friends.....but....but....I....I'm starting to feel.......more towards you....."

( -pout- Oh hey! I finished my English 3 Final! )

As she pulled away she made sure she didn't say anything, she looked off, blushing quite a bit, letting a hand play with a stand of her hair mindlessly.

'Okay just breathe...breathe...very good. Welcome back to the land of the living-' Her sarcastic thoughts were interupted by Horatio's words. She looked up to listen, it did sound...very...seemingly important.

As he trailed off a bit, so did her brain. 'Wait--he...he...no, I'm hearing things. That...that must be it...because there is no way, no way that...oh my god, my heart just stopped again. Damnit. Okay, you're not in highschool anymore...say something!' She thought and opened her mouth, not even sure what sort of emotion was being portrayed at the moment.

"I uh." Very profound. "Um...weeeell." Epic words here...What was she supposed to say?! Of course she...felt something more for him but...

"I--I do too...in a way." She finally finished, looking down shyly.

'Aw he is such a sweetie! I could hardly even speak.' She thought, her brain slowly regaining it usual processing speed.

Horatio turned to her, looking a little daze. For some reason he felt kinda like a child. A child who wanted to seem more grown up by not exploding in happiness about going to an amusement park, but really, really wanted to. He began to walk over to Jennifer, but paused. He began to panic a little, not knowing for sure what next to do. So far it had been kinda established, that both of them, kinda wanted to, maybe be more than just friends. Or at least that's what he figured she had meant. Is that what he had meant?

No, he hadn't felt the way he felt for Jennifer in a while. Actually, he couldn't even remember the last time he had felt that way. A smile crossed his face. "Well, I guess now we see were this goes. No matter what though, I wanna remain close to you in a way. Even if it's in only a friendly way. I care a lot about you".

That was true, but he prayed it wouldn't go all the way back to just a friendly relationship between them. To be honest, he wasn't sure if he could go back...

( You're going to give the poor girl a heart or a stroke...or something. Or maybe me. Haha. I made us an FC in Talkiey Talk. :) )

She gave a small nod to the ending remarks. "Yes, I know." She laughed lightly and shifted, the tension of the two was slowly being lifted. Slowly but surely.

Jennifer glanced sideways to Horatio, smiling a bit, more then a bit but you know. She turned to the oven. "Well it's almost done." She said suddenly and turned back to Horatio. "When's your next day off?" She asked, knowing that evern if CSI's had days off, they usually ended up getting roped into something else.

(Awwww, really? Joo are so wonderful. )


Horatio stood kinda goofily smiling at her, it took him a moment to fully adapt to what she was saying. He reached up and scratched his head a little. "Um....my next day off?" He thought for a moment, remembering that he had just solved a pretty big case recently.

"If I remember correctly, I have Friday off, including that weekend. Which is pretty nice since I usually don't get three day breaks much". 'Of course that break could get interrupted'. He thought to himself.

( Awww. -^^- You're too kind, Prince.)

She gave a nod as she turned off the oven and took the pizza out. She was thankful that her ambidextrisum paid off more then just with shooting guns. She looked to Horatio briefly. "Really? Good, maybe we can do something...." She said, brushing her hair back and started to the cut the pizza. "Or you can stop by my work." She shrugged. "Anything's fine really..."

She handed him a plate and figured they could both survive on drinking water. Seeing as she didn't feel like making hot cocoa at the moment now.
